Light, for Newtown

Candles lit for peace, healing, love, wisdom, comfort, bed time kisses, hugs, friends, parents and grown ups who know what to do, forgiveness, and so on and so on...Annie and I lit these candles to shine light into the darkness of the day.  Paul and Emma joined us as we released the flames later that evening.  Our hearts remain heavy with the tragedy that took place in our state yesterday.

A Man and His Tree

We took this year's Christmas tree from our yard.  Paul and I had planted the trees when we moved in more than 16 years ago.  The trees that survived are huge, we're actually only using the top of this one in our home.

You aren't imagining things...I inadvertently broke my blog.  I realized too late that changing the privacy settings on my flickr photos would break their links back to my blog.  I've begun the tedious effort of reconnecting each photo.
