2011 8/365 Measure

The 4-6 inches predicted for Connecticut turned into much more than that for us here in Bethany!  At bedtime, Emma measured the snow at 10 1/2 inches!  It was still falling quite steadily too.  The snow made the night spectacularly beautiful.
(The bottle hanging from the laundry line is our BB gun target.  Ain't it purty?
You just might be a redneck....)

See the snow fall:

The deck at 8am with just a dusting.  No real snow fell again until nearly 2:30pm.  I started to wonder if it was ever going to come and then...
...bam!  The deck is covered at 4pm.  Snow seemed to only be falling in Bethany though!  I called Paul at work at 3:10pm and told him he'd better leave now, because we'd gotten about a half and inch of snow in 40 minutes or so.  It hadn't even started yet in Wallingford where he was!
By 5pm the girls and a friend were hitting the hills.
9pm, bedtime!

If it has to be cold, then let there be snow!

Update: Paul just came inside - he's been snow blowing, shoveling, sweeping, and scraping for 2 hours!  Luckily he likes being outside!
