This photo was taken at the tower at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, CT.
We took a very brisk hike up and back on New Year's Day.
We thought there was a tour group behind us so we took off like a shot and never slowed down (only to later find the group had taken a turn).
Annie paced us and I've honestly never seen her move so fast for so long,
certainly not up hill!
The path was snowfilled and slushy and my calves are mucho displeased today.
Physical pain aside, I wouldn't have wanted to spend New Year's Day any other way.
Except on a warm beach, but you know what I mean.
